The General Lee court marshalled?

What's this? The other day news broke that the Dukes of Hazzard Dodge Charger known as The General Lee was auctioned off for almost $10 Million. Now Autoblog has posted that the winning bidder has withdrawn his bid!

Apparently this was due to a negative comment made by Bo Duke (John Schneider), himself, about the winning bidder...

Some people have to learn when to keep their mouths shut. I smell a lawsuit...

The way I read it, and the way ebay works, is that Schneider gave the negative comment after the bum flaked on the deal. Hence the negative feedback.

Yep. That's the way feedback works. The deal is done, buyer pays, seller leaves buyer feedback. Buyer receives product, leaves seller feedback. It'd be just dumb to leave feedback before the deal is done (or falls through, as in this case).

It's also not really surprising that this happened. It isn't the first time that something odd or unique showed up for sale on e-bay and tons of people made bids just to run the price up, with no intention of ever actually paying (or in most cases, of being able to *afford* to pay).
