Studebaker: What might have been



Two weeks ago I posted a blog entry about a Studebaker prototype graveyard . As sort of a follow-up, here's another story about Studebaker, of what might have been, had the company survived.

Sherwood Egbert , president of Studebaker-Packard during the early 1960s, had commissioned Raymond Loewy to design the Avanti, which we all know about. What you may not know was that Loewy was also in the process of spinning off the Avanti styling on to a new range of Studebakers, including sedans and wagons...
Unfortunately Studebaker was forced to close its doors before these vehicles could come to fruition.
