Spy photos: Stretched Nissan Qashqai

This is the Nissan Qashqai. It's the European equivalent of the 2008 Nissan Rogue that will go on sale in the U.S. later this year. Looking closely at these latest spy photos, however, and it's easy to see that this Qashqai has had a little work done...
It looks as though some length has been added to accommodate a third row seat. This is, of course, is a very American thing to do but don't expect to see a three-row Rouge anytime soon. With a redesign of the Murano on the way, it's doubtful Nissan will want to put any pressure on its midsize crossover by adding an even bigger version of the compact Rogue.

I don't see any point in a compact SUV having 3 rows. It just doesn't make sense.

Again with the D pillar!! I actually miss the old Acura MDX! That was the last crossover with real windows to see out of! This new one is just as bad as everything out there...

Yeah, may as well have no windows behind the door at all, a la new Scion xB. That rear door is huge, though.

It's stylish, but I prefer the Rogue name.

This should be fuel efficient with the base Altima's 2.5l and CVT.

Should be an interesting entry in the segment. If it can lead in fuel economy the way the Altima does, the Qashqai with be a Cash Cow. :)

QASHQAI is also among the safest vehicles on the road. Nice car, absolutely perfect on the road crafted with state-of-the-art technology of Nissan Shocks.
