Geely's London Taxi the TX4

When I first saw this I said, oh no, not another Chinese rip-off. But that's not the case, as Geely has struck up a deal with Manganese Bronze, the owner of London Taxi, to produce the iconic London Taxi, and it will be sold in London. The TX4 will have a 2.4 diesel engine and is reported to have a Euro 4 rating.

As these cars arrive, it'll be interesting to see how their quality and durability ends up. They can't afford to do what Hyundai did with the Excel in the 80s (and Hyundai used Mitsubishi engines).

I read that China and Japan began working on trade agreements that specifically targeting Chinese ripoffs. Supposedly, Japan will help China develop copyright laws and in turn become an intermediary for China to produce non-ripoff products for other countries.
