Anyone keeping track of how many variations of the Mustang there are in this generation? I ran out of fingers.

I love all of the special edition Fords that are being introduced but I just wish they would do something w/ the V6 mustang so I can get a cool V6 w/ slightly higher horsepower and a cooler look at an affordable price.

Only 1,000 KRs to be built. Unfortunately, I doubt we'll see any of these outside a museum.

A V6 model with suspension and appearance upgrades would be a nice addition; especially given these ever rising gas prices. I believe in Ford land that's called a "Pony Package"? Hmmm....I just checked out the specs on the V6, maybe they should borrow GM's 3.6 DOHC? :-)

They have a perfectly good V6 to put in the mustang... The 3.5L 265hp V6 in the Edge. It's just more expensive to make than the 4.0L 240hp V6 they are currently using. They already twin-turbo'd the 3.5L for a concept, making 415hp on pump gas.

That sounds good. How efficient do you think the 3.5 would be in the Stang?

I prefer the regular GT500. Those flared nostrils sort of spoil the look.
I'd take a stock truck over either of those, but the real surprise is that the FMF truck looks better than Foose's.

I hope the KR keeps that ride height on the showroom car; the standard GT500 sits way too high and, thanks to the resulting wheel/fender gap, is one of the few cars that can make 18 inch rims look small.
And can someone tell me again why Ford can't take the powertrain in the Foose F-150, put it in a reg. cab, lower and stiffen the suspension and make a Lightning successor? If they sold 'em for $35k a pop, would the profit margins really be so small that they couldn't justify it??
