2007 New York Auto Show: 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee Interior -- Sort of Better Inside

2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee interior - Eric de los Prados

After today's Jeep press conference, we got a couple minutes in the '08 Grand Cherokee's upgraded interior. It definitely looks better than last year's model, thanks to the padded vinyl on the center armrest and the smoother plastic on the console. But the dash is still hard plastic of questionable stock. Overall, an average interior for the midsize SUV class...

Which is an improvement over the low-buck 2005-2007 JGCs. --Erin Riches, Senior Content Editor

Wow! It looks fancy! I guess that's why they cost so much (seriously). I wish Chrysler would go back to the 1999-03 interiors though, the new stuff looks like they carved it from erasers, but I still like Chrysler's better than Chevy/Ford.

It looks 100x better than the shot of the 5 series BMW just above here in the blog though.

It does look better, but it's not enough to save this model from dismal sales. Gas just broke $3 bucks around here.

Uh...you guys know that you were sitting in the pre `08 Interior right? The steering wheel, dash and NAV are the same..it's not MyGig...so maybe the materials are indeed better...you just sat in the wrong Jeep. Either that or you posted the wrong photo.
