Connaught Motor Co. announced today that it will build the worldâs first green, high performance sports coupe at a new plant in southwest Wales, with a hybrid model to follow.

How exactly is the non-hybrid V10 model "green"?
Seems about as far from it as you can get. It's even an impractical coupe shape!
0-60 in 6.2s is about what a Camry V6 manages today, so that's not exactly high performance.

42mpg is pretty darn impressive for a V10. The problem is that the 300hp is all used up towing the V10 with the electric motor. So you've got a very heavy coupe that probably can't negotiate a corner and no interior space. Doesn't sound like a winning combination.
