Last fall Peugeot showed the beautifully butch 908 RC concept in Paris. It got a lot of attention there. And when we saw the car again in Geneva today, it still looked slick.
The RC was sort of a way for Peugeot to play around with styling, but the real purpose of this rear-engine, tubular-framed sedan was to show off the company's prized 5.5-liter turbodiesel V12 -- in an elegant manner.
Rated for 700 hp and 885 lb-ft of torque, this engine was always destined for the Le Mans series, and Peugeot had the racecar, known as the 908 HDi FAP, on display at the Palexpo.
It will suit up for this year's 24 Hours of Le Mans. --Erin Riches, Senior Content Editor
