Sterling Bullet class 4-5 truck

Shortly you will start seeing a new truck that looks rather familiar, yet somehow different...

Welcome to the new Sterling Bullet. Sterling Truck, a subsidiary of DaimlerChrysler, will be introducing a new Class 4-5 truck. It will be based upon the new 2008 4500 and 5500 Dodge Ram models...
So picture a HD Dodge Ram with the above grille, and there you have it.

The truck will be introduced at the NTEA Work Truck Show 2007 on March 6.

Dodge needs to get out of the clone business. I don't see the point, just get a Dodge.

Plus, Sterling will only remind people of the miserably unreliable cars sold here a little over a decade ago.

more clones make something NEW for a change why would I want to dump additional money for a clone when I can easily buy a real deal dodge and save money and remeber how pathetic the quality of sterling vechicles were when they were selling them here decades ago.

It simply gives Sterling dealers a vehicle to sell in this class 4-5 market.

Wasn't the Sterling a rebadged Acura Legend?

The Sterling/Acura and Sterling trucks have nothing in common except the name.

The trucks originally came from Ford, when they sold their HD L-Series to Freightliner, and then set up the Sterling name. Many years ago there was a line of Sterling trucks, and Freightliner/Mercedes must have bought the rights to that name.

The car, on the other hand, was an Anglo-Acura deal.
