We don't know for sure whether this roadster will wear the BMW Z9 badge or a Z6 label, but it's clear this two-seater is headed for production soon as this is the second set of spy photos to surface in the last couple of months. According to Brenda Priddy, the prototype in these photos has a retractable hardtop, but after comparing these shots with earlier pics it looks like the same car to us. So either the earlier shots mislabeled the prototype as a ragtop, or this BMW roadster is getting a very tight fitting fabric roof. Either way, it's pretty clear this is not the next-generation Z4.

Looks like they disguised a hard top with a fabric covering, but that's a hard top.
