NASCAR's good ol' boys up to their usual shenanigans

NASCAR has a long history of having racers and crew members getting caught with their hand in the cookie jar...

...And, it's happened again, as Michael Waltrip's crew chief, David Hyder, and team director, Bobby Kennedy, were thrown out of the Daytona 500 and suspended indefinitely Wednesday because an illegal substance was found in their NASCAR Toyota Camry during inspection for the season-opening race. Waltrip, docked 100 points, will be allowed to participate in Thursday's races that determine the field for NASCAR's biggest event of the year.

I wonder if they're putting Toyota under the microscope, I mean how many other teams are cheating? All of them?

And for the anti-Toyota crowd, let's remember the Camry is the only one of the 4 cars that compete that is actually made in the USA.

The others are made in Mexico and Canada.

Let's also remember that Toyota is the only company whose financials are in Yen.

I love all the comments around the net that say the mystery substance is really sludge and not jet fuel. ;-)

Poor Toyota, no one loves a winner.

I agree with ateixeira. Toyota should lay low for a season or two, lose a bunch of races, and then when they aren't under the microscope, cheat like everyone else.

Not a very good showing for Toyota this weekend. I think the best they got was 23rd?
