Try using a tennis ball...
I kid you not. Here's what you do:
1) Take a tennis ball and put a small hole in it.
2) Place the ball over the key hole on the car door with the hole in the ball directly over the key hole...
3) Press the ball as hard as you can.
What happens is the air pressure forces the locking mechanism in the door to unlock.

Hmmm... I can now see all the carmakers scrambling to find a way to make this not happen, as it's a surefire easy way for thieves to enter your car as well.

Would prefer that this type of garbage not be posted. Not that I expect thieves to learn anything, however, there is a certain % of a young age group that will want to try this and will damage vehicles doing so. Maybe there will be a dent on your door Bob.

what a great way to dent your car its a ingenious idea but i highly doubt some car locks will respond to this method but if i'm ina pinch and I'm not in the mood to have the police possibly wreck the door I'll be more than willing to try this method

I much prefer to use a toilet plunger. Only problem is that it looks a little silly hanging off my key chain.

ha-ha- ha youa funny guy, even if you pop the tumblers, how do you turn the tennis ball to open the door?

More than likely, people usually lock their keys away from home. Who carries a tennis ball with them whenever they're away from home (Unless they're tennis players leaving the club/gym)?

carboy28, I predict a massive surge in car theft in places like Florida, desert communities etc. Places where retired people move around with those walkers that use tennis balls on their feet...

Sounds like a job for Mythbusters....

that's a great show! I loved the one where they shot up a car to show the gas tank wouldn't blow up. And that it was useless to hide behind the door...
Good to know, commuting in LA and all..

I think if the car is on ans some one begins shooting at you, UIf you have nothing blocking you, roll the windows down, step on the gas!! The doors slow the bullet, the glass make break but it still slows the bullet, and if it still comes through the other side, it may not be anough force to reach you. Then again, you may get hit doing all these steps....

That has already been on Mythbusters and they said it won't work
