Corvette SS spy images causing a ruckus at GM

Here we go again folks... More Embargogate, if you will...

A slew of spy images of the upcoming Corvette SS showed up yesterday on the Net, including on Straightline, and it's got the folks at GM all lathered up (story here). Autoblog, fearing that GM would come and spank them silly, decided to take down the images...
Note that the images are still standing here on Straightline.

Autoblog has since updated this story here and here. The Detroit News has also updated this story here.

I dont see why this is such a big deal as rumours of this car have been circulating since the birth of the C6. The pictures just validate the rumours.

Yep, it's a brave new world and the internet makes such "embargoes" meaningless.

It's funny, the culture at the automakers is still trying to catch up to the internet. Welcome to last decade, GM.

GM needed a wake up call and if it was getting there super vette revealed so be it. With the popularity of the internet and the digital age upon us GM and other automakers (yes asian makers included) neeed to learn that embargos are pointless and ultimately obsolete in todays day and age
