BMW sucked the life out of onlookers during its boring 2007 BMW Alpina B7 press conference, but all is forgiven since the supercharged, 500-horsepower 4.4-liter V8 7 Series is finally coming to the United States.
The Alpina B7 has been on sale in Europe since 2004 while our professional athletes have been forced to make due with the confines of a BMW M5 or a 438-hp BMW 760Li.

I hate to say it but... being the dyed in the wool BMW fan I am... I am not nearly as impressed with this thing as I thought I would be.
I think the previous (E38) Alpina that did not come to the U.S. actually had a little more flavor than this one.
Maybe its the wheels, or maybe its the fact that the body-work makes it look kind of boy-racerish. Either way, it doesnt quite work for me.

The spoiler actually fixed the Bangle Butt syndrome.
Still, I'd buy an S8. Or an AMG S class.

Great car, but it should have come sooner. The 7 series is headed for a redesign within two years now. Anyway it looks great inside and outside, and the blue color is gorgeous. Still I'd get a Maserati Quattroporte for the exclusivity and similar performance.
