Washington DC auto show

I just got back from that show—and guess what? It's almost like the Detroit show deja vu'ed. Many of the new models that debuted at Detroit were there.

The change of the show dates has made this show much better than before...
Up until last year this show was held immediately after Christmas, but before the Detroit show. The result was that it was the last of last year's shows, with very little new being shown. Now it immediately follows the Detroit show, and as a result, gets many of the new models that just debuted there.

Here's a quick list of what I remembered seeing:

Chevy Volt, Camaro, Malibu; Mitsubishi Lancer; Ford Interceptor, Airstream, '08 Super-Duty, 2-mode Edge hybrid; Toyota Tundra; Audi R8; Jeep Patriot; Volvo C30, XC60 concept; Honda Civic Si sedan; new Mini; Chrysler Nassau; and I'm sure there were a bunch more, but that's all I can recall at the moment.

So, if you couldn't make it to the NAIAS, and live in the DC area, this show is now a pretty good second choice.
