The new Cayenne is more powerful, more defined and 15 percent more fuel efficient than its predecessor. Three models will be offered: Cayenne, Cayenne S and Cayenne Turbo. Pricing starts at $43,400 and climbs to $93,700 for the Turbo before options.
Porsche CEO Dr. Wendelin Wiedeking also mentioned Porsche's huge potential for the future following the success of the first generation Cayenne. He mentioned his excitement regarding the upcoming 2009 Panamera sedan. He started to say, "With the extension of our model range, we feel good about the next five years," before a PR flack quickly shut down his mic.
