Each year Ford's Group Vice President of Design, J Mays, affords Detroit show goers a chuckle with a tongue-in-cheek concept vehicle. Remember the little Brinks' truck in 2004, the Ford SYNus?
This year's party truck, the highly-polished Ford Airstream, is a collaborative effort between RV manufacturer Airstream and the Blue Oval. Billed as a crossover, the Airstream Concept looks more like a kitchen appliance or a vacuum cleaner...
Powered by a plug-in hydrogen hybrid fuel cell drivetrain called HySeries Drive, Ford says the Airstream can deliver 41 mpg.
Inside, passengers can all spin to face a 360-degree screen which shows movies, plays games and offers ambient mood settings including a lava lamp and virtual fire.
Cool, man.

Makes you forget about the SYNUS concept that was a piece of crap. This airstream is awesome especially in the interior.

I'm sure this seemed like a good Idea to someone..............
Might be spreading that new DNA a bit thin.....

That rear window has a Nissan grille shape to it. The triangle exhaust tips are pretty cool.

No wonder FORD is losing their shirts! Quite possibly the most hideous design ever made.

Hey, look, it's Ford reviving their first, and bad attempt at a minivan...the Aerostar. This should really help them out.

i think the airstream looks great with the vjworld.com visuals. adding ambiance to the interior has endless possibilities. could you imagine relaxing on the beach or tailgaiting with this automobile? very cool!
