I saw the interior shots during a lunch with Bob Lutz over two years ago. I saw the final production vehicle two months ago. Now I can finally share my thoughts on the all-new CTS (beyond the "wow" I let slip back in November).
First, if you think this car looks good in photos you still haven't really seen it...
Once you get inside you'll quickly see the beauty of the interior design. Cadillac has done a masterful job with interior lighting, and material quality is similarly impressive. My favorite interior detail (and the one I've been hinting at for over two years) is the seperate temperature displays that are canted toward each front seat on the center stack. This, along with the lighting, is a great example of Cadillac getting those little details right - details that can make all the difference to buyers in this market segment.
All indications are that it drives as good as it looks. If it does Caddy will have quite the luxury sedan to keep the brand's momentum going.

Great evolution and design, says "CADILLAC" even more now but in a more refined way. The only thing I dont like is the overly thick C-pillar. I just watched the short Edmunds vid on this car and they have included the glorious exhaust note. Its better than a G35 coupe! Times are looking good for the next gen Caddys!

It looks good. I have to wait to see it person. I expected it to be a bit more daring but, as history has proved, messing too much with success can be disasterous (Ford Taurus anyone?). Again, it's impressive in a nice way, but I wanted it to be impressive in pretty damn way. It looks like GM took the safe approach, which is smart. It'll be a hit, no doubt.

If Cadillac gives there other models the same kind of styling, then Cadilla will become more popular. Personally, I really like this car.

Great looking car! I love the angular edges on the front end and that 300hp V6 sounds tempting. Can't wait to see a test!

Im sure that the rest of the next-generation Cadillacs will have similar styling to the Escalade and 08 CTS. They look very nice.

when does Edmunds expect to get a pre-production model for a test? I am impressed overall, but want to see how it all works together on the road.

I'm pretty sure it will work well on the road. The sigma chassis is very capable. Now the car will have improved handling and acceleration compared to the current model.

Curious how the AWD system on the new CTS will perform vs. an Audi A4 V6 Quattro. Granted the Caddy is larger but I'm guessing they will be close to the same price/feature category.
It would be fun to see an "entry level AWD luxury sedan snow and ice stress test" in addition to the usual track stuff.

From the front, the new CTS is the most distinctive-looking sedan this side of a Maserati Quattroporte. And the iterior does look amazing. But does anyone else look at the rear 3/4 view and get the impression that Cadillac just slapped an STS rear end on the old body?
