Toyota Prius may expand to more (and larger) models

Toyota feels that the "Prius" name is now so well established as a "hybrid brand," that they may well want to expand usage of that name to other Toyota hybrid models.

Ya gotta be careful. When Honda built the Accord Hybrid, sales were sluggish. People don't really find a powerful hybrid that gets decent mileage a good idea.

Honda should have made the Accord Hybrid a 4cyl in the first place instead of the V6. Honda didnt market the car correctly and it really doesnt have much more performance or better fuel economy than the regular V6 Accord to justify the price difference. But why does it work for Lexus? They have the GS450h (my father just traded his 2004 LS430 for one, this thing is FAST), RX400h, and the soon to be LS600h. They offer more performace and still are decent at the pump. Toyota/Lexus also marketed the vehicles correctly and of course Toyotas "green image" helped also.
