Wagoner Survives Minor Heckling

2006 LA Auto Show:

The GM people wondered if these were Motor Press Guild folks, and the MPG guys wondered if they were with GM. At the conclusion of Rick Wagoner's speech at the LA Show, two well-dressed young men stepped to the podium and invited Rick to sign a pledge that GM would become the industry's most fuel-efficient company.

It was pretty tame as protests go, but still unauthorized and unplanned. Wagoner was graceful (he obviously has experience with this stuff) and soon enough guys with earphones were ushering the fellows off...
A few people in the crowd shouted "Sign the pledge!" Who were these folks? This is supposed to be the press!
