Toyota has a good thing going with the Prius , and may try and capitalize on that by adding more models using that name. Under consideration is a wagon and maybe even a smaller car.

I doubt the Prius will ever match Corollas price point. Right now the Corolla bases at just over 1/2 the price of a Prius. The Yaris is a much bigger threat to the Corolla. I think the Prius will do just fine without tax breaks. We never had the breaks here (Canada) and you see Priuses everywhere. It's the ultimate city car for those who spend their days stuck in stop and go traffic.
I think a wagon would be a huge hit.
