Subaru at SEMA

As I had reported a few weeks ago, Subaru debuted a 2007.5 model called the Forester Sports 2.5 XT at SEMA. It's basically a slightly de-contented Forester turbo, but with some snazzy new clothes. Subaru merely reached into their JDM parts bin and slapped on the grille and bumper from their home-market Forester STI; and deleted the roof rack cross bars, heated outside mirrors windshield deicer and leather seats. Also, they added the WR Blue from the WRX color palette...
This being SEMA, Subaru also displayed a "tweaked" version (bottom image) with STI wheels and a lowered suspension.

There is also an X version too (non turbo).

I hope Subaru reaches deeper into their JDM parts bin for future revisions and adds the Cross Sports or STi suspension and more transmission offerings!

Love the details - grille, 17" rims, VDC.

The Forester is nice, but I thought the best car at the Subaru booth was the Legacy Wagon Grand Am car.
