Oddly enough that's the one that stands out to me as very forward thinking. The push for zero waste and environmentally friendly design only happened recently, yet I'm sure he was a pioneer in this regard.

This is why Im a Honda fanatic. They have a philosophy (which few companies have these days) that they follow and it NEVER changes. Hondas innovation and techology is world class yet they seem to deliver it in a simple, intuative, efficient, high quality, well made, affordable package. Its evident in every single Honda product. "Man maximum, machine minimum" does have a meaning!

I just hope they never follow the Toyota route and try to become "the American car company". Honda please remain true to the game and great success will follow. I think Soichiro would be proud to see how far his company has grown and evolved since 1991, while remaining Honda.

I too am a huge Honda fan. No other company puts so much effort into the design and engineering of their vehicles (yes, I'm including companies like Ferrari and Rolls Royce). Yes, they have wonderful ideas, but the true key factor is that they make them in such a way that they're affordable.

Naming a car after the engine technology is cool... the Compound Vortex Controlled Combustion, or "Civic".
