Nagare is the first example of the design direction for the next generation of Mazda. By definition, Nagare means "flow" and that's exactly what the body lines are all about. From the swooping door panels to the cascading fenders to the co-molded tire-on-wheel design this car embodies the style of its design team.
When push comes to shove, nothing represents style and "flow" like the clothes on our backs...

Now that I'm a Mazda guy, I can't help but be excited. They're keeping
the creases and arches of their current design language but, as the
previous Senku concept showed, they're also reverting to rounder
surfaces.
Mr. Bangle's brilliance shows though. Concave surfaces with sharp
creases weren't just imitated, they're becoming the basic styling of
the next 10 years.

Very stunning concept. The doorpanels are extraordinary. I can't say the same about the shoes.

Reminds me of sand dunes for some reason. Very artistic.
Can't give credit to Bangle, though, his surfaces are concave. Those are convex. Sort of the opposite.
Look at the doors, a BMW's doors would be caved in. Those bulge outward.
Looks more like Ford's New Edge style to me.
