L.A. Auto Show: Giugiaro Mustang gets downtown debut

Concept cars don't always look right in pictures. There's usually a lot going on with various design details and hidden surprises, so until you see a concept in person it's hard to pass judgment. After seeing the initial pictures, I was hoping the Giugiaro Mustang would look better sitting on the floor of a slick loft in downtown L.A. but it didn't. It merely looked big, delicate and very, very orange. Didn't even sound that great when Jay Mays started it up.

It's a concept, so I'll overlook the orange and the scissors doors. I guess they wanted to give it an Italian signature.

I think future Mustangs could draw inspiration from this one, sure.

Looks a bit Camaro-ripoff to me. Especially in the front end treatment.
If the Mustang were the offspring of a young Sofia Loren, this is what it would look like................if the father were Howard Stern.
