GM's Project Driveway: Chevrolet Equinox Sequel

General Motors announced Project Driveway this morning at the LA Auto Show, its plan to put 100 fuel cell Chevrolet Equinox Sequels into the hands of everyday people and celebrities. Fifty are expected to be placed in Los Angeles, and we're guessing that's where the celebrities come in.

The plan is to use the zero-emissions Equinox Sequel to learn more about the potential of the fuel cell vehicles.

Nice to see GM testing a proof of concept Hydrogen vehicle. Let us hope the celebrities driving the 50 Sequels in LA give GM (and us, via press releases, whatever) some good feedback!

I'm not a fan of the Equinox' interiors, neither the seating nor the cargo arrangement. I'm wondering what celebrities will choose to drive this rather than something a lot nicer.

I agree with ateixeira. If I'm standing in my garage with an Escalade, Ferrari, and an Equinox, I can't guarantee that I'll go for the Equinox......ever.

How about the choice between a Hydrogen Equinox Sequel, a Honda Accord Hybrid, or an Escalade? A LOT is image for those people- why else are Toyota Prius Hybrids such a hit? I'd certainly expect the Escalades and Ferraris to win out in that competition too, but for many, they don't. ;-)

What celebrity would drive an equinox, maybe K fed now that britney dumped him but if I were a celebrity and I had a Bently, a Corvette ZO6, and this in my garage I would choose the the bently and the vette as my cars of choice to drive

You're not a celebrity thats trying to pretend he's an enviromentalist. Every mans got an image to protect.
