Acura's American Le Mans Series LMP2 Contender

This one goes out to all of the motorsports fans out there bracing for a long, cold winter with no racing.

The fastest car on display at the 2007 L.A. Auto show just might be Acura's LMP2 American LeMans Series sports racer. Not a concept version, this is the Acura-powered Courage LC75 that has been testing all month and will pound the pavement next year, going up against Porsche's RS Spyder, among others, in the P2 class...

It's no secret that Bryan Herta will be one of the drivers, and indeed his name appears on the car,  which will be campaigned by Michael Andretti's Andretti-Green Racing. The first race will be the Sebring 12-hour Enduro in March 2007.  - Dan Edmunds
