2008 Buick Enclave

Buick has just released images and info on the all-new Enclave crossover SUV, which looks almost identical to concept vehicle that had been shown earlier.

I think Buick will do very well with this vehicle, in fact I'd be shocked if it didn't. I really like the styling and it seems to have the mechanical hardware (275hp 3.6L DOHC V6 and 6-speed automatic) to back up the looks. It will be available in FWD and AWD, and can tow up to 4500 pounds...
Last but not least, it appears to be very roomy, as it's built on a 118.9" wheelbase. It really looks like there is quite a lot of space behind the 3rd-row seat, which is rare in this type of vehicle.

This could become the replacement for my wife's minivan in a couple years, if it lives up to expectations.

I'm sorry but that is an old persons car.

Nothing wrong with that - Saturn would be glad to sell an Outlook to a younger couple with 3 kids. Or GMC. I think even Chevy will get a version of the Lambdas.

You can't even compare this to the outgoing Rendezvous, it's just so much better that it was wise to change the name.

I think the packaging is great, and it looks good (though a bit too much chrome for me), inside and out.

Wow ugly front end. Looks like an Edsel or a Tribeca. Looks like there is almost zero room behind the back seat.

Love it. Have loved it since the concept came out. Definitely want to buy one, too bad I'm still in college and can't afford one...yet.

Looks pretty good but I have one problem. The front end has too much visual weight.

My question is that is this enough to save Buick and bring in new customers? There are plenty of other vehicles in this segment and price range that have been out for a few years already and are more established and Buick is really late to the game.

It looks alright. I'm highly surprised at how much room there is behind the 3rd row. That's so uncommon.

this car makes being an old person a good thing.
I pity young people.

I agree estreka. Dunno where harvey44 was looking when he saw almost no room behind the third row seat. There's a TON back there (nearly as much as the average extended minivan nowadays). Not bad at all for a midsize SUV.

Hey jerrywimer in an earlier test of the outlook Edmunds found that the outlook and its acadia twin have much more cargo room than a chevy tahoe. That is alot of room especially for a crossover

It is stupid how beautiful this vehicle is. Front, sides, and rear. And interior. Homerun all around. If you ask me, thatis.
