Now THIS is SEMA

SEMA: 2006

Against the crazy, glittery backdrop that is SEMA, it's hard for anything to stand out. But this does. It's the 789, created by Gene Langmesser at Kanter Concepts in Santa Ana, CA. Built on a C6 Corvette chassis, this dramatic custom has styling themes from '57 (front), '58 (middle) and '59 (rear) Chevrolets-- hence the name...
More than anything I've seen here, this car captures the wacky, brilliant creativity that is SEMA at its best. Better yet, Langmesser plans to put the car into limited production. We have set up a test drive after the show. Too cool.

Usually these one-offs look awful. This one's not bad, I guess.
