Just last week, Bob Lutz said Hummer needs to expand its lineup to include vehicles that are cheaper and smaller. Well, we don't know if this Hummer H3 pickup really counts as smaller, but it's clear the brand is looking to expand the lineup soon. Caught testing at what looks like GM's proving grounds, this test mule is clearly not an ordinary H3.
The wheelbase of this prototype is longer as the rear wheel housings don't intrude into the back doors. And although the camouflage is designed to make it look like a fully enclosed SUV, it's pretty obvious there's more likely an open truck bed underneath. Look close enough and it appears to have a different taillight design than the current H3, and the spare tire resides under the vehicle instead of slinging it outback.

Some MPG employee must be getting a lot of kickbacks from KGP Photography.

Yet again they screw up and neglect to make the midsize Avalanche-like SUT a CHEVROLET. They should keep those limited to Chevy, including a midgate system and general styling. Shouldn't be too tough either since the H3 is a Colorado-based vehicle in the first place.

How do we know there won't BE a Chevy version?
I say kudos for making it look nothing at all like the Canyon/Colorado/i280/i350. Those 4 clones are way too close to one another.

There is no justification for owning a hummer - did no one tell you the oil is running out.
Climate change is undeniable. So something about it - at the very least buy a smaller vehicle.

Oil is running out?
Says who? The oil companies that fund research that tells you this?
Do some reading - and not from the mainstream media. Oil is a renweable resource that is always replenishing. This is a lie that has been perpetuated thorugh our society for generations.
That doesn't mean it's ok to buy a Hummer, though.

I'm pretty well read on the subject and i'm not talking stupid conspiracy theories here. You might want to check www.monbiot.com. even if there was an unending supply of oil- which there really isn't - I still dont think we should use it. Our whole society is predicated on consumption and waste and it will be the death of us.
Not only is it not ok to own a hummer, I dont think its ok to drive at all. More people were killed on British roads last year than died in the twin towers. I think this is a ethically indefensible position.
everybody loves a conspiracy theory, but with the truth about global warming staring us in the face, dont you think its time we ended the love affair with the car. By the way bio-diesel isnt the answer - check out monbiot.com

bobbins, why are you on a car website? go to a global warming or tree hugging left liberal site and give your typical narrow-minded view points there. Do you walk everywhere you go? do you use electricity? do you use plastics on a daily bases, do you heat your home? You see in America we have wide open spaces and many choices on our car buying decisions. Though I would agree that a Hummer is a bit much, but it is a niche vehicle so only a few own them. You have issue wih internal combustion cars period. Global warming is happening for reasons not just our use of fossil fuels. The enviroment was heavily disturbed starting in the Industrial Age when few enviromental laws existed. There are many things that can be blamed for the supposed Global Warning and I'm sure at one point your perfect liberal self and contributed to it. Your using computor which takes electricity or worse yet a battery. Yes I agree that car accidents are one of the big killers in America also but so are guns, cancer, smokers, airplanes, work hazards, alcohol and drug abuse, heart disease, radicals, abortion, and fire. Please get off this site, you do not belong. Go back to walking and next time your eatng one of those nasty British meals , think about how it got to the store for you to purchase in the first place.

Great. Another hideous Hummer to have to look at while driving AND have to wait behind at a stop light while the underpowered engine pulls the beast off the line... while comsuming enough gas to fuel a small country. Why, why, why would anyone drive one of these things? I know the answer to that but my post probably wouldnt make in on the site.

Actually both of you need to get off of this site, From On Ethanol & Biodiesel are the real future, gas guzzlers & Hybrid are horrible and they are selling out the country to the highest bidder.
