"The NTEA Product Conference is an ideal forum to debut the long bed Tundra work truck," said Brian Smith, Toyota corporate manager for truck operations. "Toyota recognizes the importance of commercial business customers to Tundra's long-term success...
The models pictured above appear to have extended trailer mirrors that include turn signals. Unlike earlier images, and they also now have a badge on the front fender noting the engine size. My guess is that these are a 2WD versions.

Big. Brawny. Ungainly. Or just ugly. All words that properly describe this new truck's appearance. Still, it's a Toyota. That alone will ensure sales.

You forgot to add "capable" too. :)

I said words describing the truck's appearance. I see nothing that really indicated capability in the design. Just largeness. As has been pointed out about the Big 3 full sized offerings, increases in size and power in the past have only marginally increased capability, because the larger mass eats up much of the larger drivetrain and chassis strength. I suspect this truck will be "rated" higher than the competition. But they all leave safety buffers on their ratings, so that's more likely just going to be a PR move. And anyone that needs more can still go to 3/4 or 1 ton models with the GM/Ford/DC offerings. At the moment this is still not true for the other brands.

This has got to be not only the ugliest trucks I have ever seen but one of the ugliest vehicles I have ever seen. I think this thing looks worse then the Aztec. What was Toyota thinking? First the horrible new Camry and now this abomination. Add in the Tacoma, the Avalon and the Yaris and Toyota has the worst looking line up of cars and trucks ever assembled. Ugly, ugly ugly. Almost as if their designers have no eye for or concept of proportion, contouring, details, etc.
