Schwarzenegger now Hummer-free

Environmentalists have been pleading with Arnold Schwarzenegger , the Governor of California, for some time to rid himself of his fleet of Hummers.

Hummers put out three times more carbon dioxide than a regular car, and since the state of California is suing Toyota, Nissan, Ford, Honda, Chrysler and General Motors over greenhouse gas emissions, Schwarzenegger felt it was time to put his money where his mouth is; so the Hummers are out.

I fail to see how this is a good thing. Wouldn't you rather have one man own a fleet of Hummers, and drive them each maybe a few times a year, than sell them to individuals who will drive them all the time? (I haven't bought the global warming propaganda myself, just trying to think from the liberals' persepective.)

Or, will these likely become rarely-driven collector's items and pollute even less now? Whatever.

One wouldn't make a difference anyway. I'm sure he's doing it for political reasons.

bah - I'd drive it every day regardless of what it emits from it's tail pipe. I don't buy into the global warming either.

You really need to explain yourself a bit more when you say that you dont buy in to global warming. The scientific evidence is overwhelming. In my view people who deny global warming are as a bad as people who deny the holocaust.
I'm sure it eases your conscience to deny that global warming exists - but its time to face the truth.
