Yes, IROC. As in Camaro. The VW "IROC" concept is supposed to remind us of the old Scirocco. For some reason VW didn't want to just rehash the same old models, so instead they unwittingly evoked a moniker popularized by Chevrolet's most famous pushrod-havin', peelout-doin', horseplay-rompin' '80s pony car...
VW didn't hold a press conference for this car, and they didn't need to. With nicely squat and aggressive proportions, the styling speaks for itself. Plus the viper green metallic paint is just plain cool.
To be honest, it doesn't remind us much of the Scirocco. More like a sexier Golf. Er, Rabbit. GTI, I mean. As long as enough people like it, VW could care less what it reminds you of. If the IROC concept appeals to you, let VW know how much you love their new Firebird.

VW IROC? Ok name it as you will but this should be GTI version of Golf, perhaps with minor differences, this concept doesn not have reminiscence of Scirocco but could have similar platform yet different body style. Pretty good effort if you gonna make it new GTI....
