The latest issue of Autoweek
has a cover story on the 2008 Jaguar S-Type, but it's hard to tell if there's anything to get excited about. The computer generated images used for the story aren't particularly promising as they make the new Jag look like a cross between an Audi and a Lexus. Then there's the big grille on the front that looks like a drainage grate and an odd looking rear end with ultra slim taillights. The pics are nearly as good looking as the R-D6 concept pictured right...

Looks like a leftover Subaru Tribeca grille to me. :-)

Awkward? Wow, that's one of the few cars I've seen - since the intro of the latest GT3 - that looks attractive and fresh. Lately all we're getting are ugly cars like the 07 3 series coupe and the even more hideous retro-dorky FJ Cruiser.

What? CGI? it looks EXACTLY like the RD-6,,,in fact it is. Type in google images- jaguar RD-6. But isnt it a bit too small to be the new S-type? or maybe this is just a smaller hatch version. And yes this truly is a beautiful car.

Sorry if this was confusing, but it says right in the text that the picture used in the post is of the R-D6.
