FV Report: 2008 Cadillac STS V-Series

This reskinned STS-V was shot awhile back, but at the time I couldn't figure out what was going on with those odd taillights and the Escalade-style grille. This time around, when our crafty spy shooter snapped a few pictures he followed up with a little on scene investigation. Turns out this particular STS was tuned by an aftermarket shop and is capable of churning out well over 600 horsepower at the rear wheels. It was on its way to a SEMA-style show in Europe when it stopped off to get a cracked windshield repaired. He also mentioned one other bizarre feature -- all the instrumentation was in Arabic, right down to the lettering on the mirrors. Expect to see the American version of the reskinned STS debut next year along with a new sport package.

rocket_ maybe you missed the part about the 600hp?

All the STS's that I've seen in Kuwait have that style of taillight. I assume this is the same for other Middle East countries. When I went to Canada the STS looked way different with it's red taillights. My guess is that this car belongs to some wealthy car collector in the UAE, possible the sultan himself, who tuned the car for fun. The UAE has amazing cars...there's a guy who stuffed an SLR engine into an SLK55 AMG and an E Class.

That Arabic instrumentation is a weird touch. My Camry has Arabic on the side mirrors too.
