Edmunds - 40th Anniversary

Vintage Edmunds logo Some 40 years ago, Edmunds Publishing Corp started offering pricing guides for new and used cars.

Before the World Wide Web became mainstream, Edmunds started posting to the Internet in 1994 through a gopher site that was known as "The Electronic Newsstand." Early the following year www.edmunds.com was officially born and became the first automotive information Web site.

Wow, we sure have evolved since those early days and so has the automobile industry.

To celebrate this milestone, Edmunds will be launching reviews of the most significant vehicles of the past 40 years...

Check back next week, to see which vehicles win for 1966 and 1967. We will be presenting two cars per week until we catch up to modern times.

Hint, hint: the first two winners have been in the news recently.
