2006 Mercedes B 200 turbo

I haven't been playing that much attention to what's being sold north of the border here, but it looks like Mercedes is now selling the small B-Class in Canada. I've always been curious about this vehicle, and hope Mercedes decides here too. As you can see, it's another car of minimal exterior dimensions, but with maximum interior space thanks to a rather tall profile.

Canada gets two versions, both 2.0, but one has a turbo...
This is the fun ride, as it has 193 HP, whereas the non-turbo puts out 134 HP. Both are hooked up to a CVT.

Snippet: The all-new Mercedes-Benz B-Class is promoted as being the answer to those looking for prestige and cargo capability without paying to large a price. The B-Class is an entry-level luxury vehicle that Benz hopes will take some steam away from brands like Acura, Audi and Volvo. As the price of oil continues to rise, manufacturers are attempting to ensure that they will be able to retain their clientele with a wider range of economical automobiles.

I like it, it's handsome and space efficient.

I think the issue is it would have to be price too close to the C class. For $25 grand, if they could do it for that much, it would actually sell well. But I think it might be more like $28 grand for starters.
