So you like the Segway, but you have a desire to use it on the south 40? Well Segway may have a answer for you: Check out the off-road, Segway XT
shown at right, with a skid plate and low-pressure all-terrain tires, like what you would find on an ATV. If you should want to take it on trails, keep in mind that you only have about a 10 mile range.
Snippet: The Segway XT has been specifically developed for stability, comfort and performance on uneven and tough terrain...
If you're a golfer, how 'bout the new GT model (top image), which can carry your golf bag and you? I'm assuming "GT" stands for "golf transporter," and not "grand touring."
Snippet: The golf bag carrier secures the golf bag to the right side of the Segway GT. Adjustable straps secure the bag to the carrier and can accommodate most golf bags. The carrier functions as a stand for the unit when it's time to play, making it easy to access the clubs.

THIS IS REALLY OLD, I'm sorry, I love insideline, but this is really old, as in, couple years almost.

Well, I thought it was "new" news... Oh well, you win some, you lose some...

I hadn't seen these...
I've ridden one of the regular models, they take a while to get used to, but then they're pretty fun.
I'm not sure the average golfer is agile enough to keep their balance on these, though. The all-terrain one seems silly, even.

If this has been around for two years, Segway is an even bigger flop than I thought it was.

According to this link the XT and GT models were announced in March of 2005. Old news, yes. Really old news, not really.
