May auto sales = More of the same

Not much new here as May auto sales is essentally a repeat story, as domestics continue to lose ground to import brand names. The other thing that may indicate a new trend, is that fullsize pickup sales also continue to slide. Is this fallout from the high gas prices, or an indication of something else?

Snippet: Minivan and sport utility vehicle sales continued to weaken, while previously resilient sales of large pickup trucks declined for a second consecutive month. "This is something we're watching," said Ford Motor Co...
market analyst George Pipas. "The question is, how much are high fuel prices creeping into the full-size truck segment?"

Gas prices have dropped a bit in June, I wonder if they'll bounce back slightly. It's possible people just delay their purchases.
