Good news for Nissan

Good news for Nissan as their quality rating with the most recent J.D. Power "Initial Quality Study," has improved. This is especially true of their Canton, Mississippi plant (Titans, Armadas, Quest, QX56) which had been called the worst car factory in the USA in terms of quality. Now that plant is on a par with their Smyrna plant...

Snippet:  The vice president said one of the biggest factors leading to improved quality has been the company's effort to encourage "cross-functional work", a priority of Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn. The idea is to put together teams from different parts of the company to work on specific problems.

Good, If one thing can kill sales it is poor quality.

Good, for the first 90 days, though. Let's see if the trucks hold up in the long-term.

The good news is that a couple of years ago I could already tell there would be problems, with the flimsy interiors. If the IQ study shows better signs, that ought to translate in to an improvement down the road.

Too late for me.. I own one of the Armadas that came out of that plant and it has cured me of Nissans for good..Nothing major, but it is just cheap inside and out.. The plastic pieces are falling off, the drivers side seatbelt wasn't even bolted property when I first got the truck, I have had the overhead console replaced twice, brakes at 18K miles, one of the radio knobs is inoperative, one of the antenna leads broke off, the power seats stop working periodically, leave the truck on accessory for more than 5 minutes and the battery is dead....Those are the ones I can remember..
