Snippet: A breakdown shows that one was at a trailhead, 14 took place at schools or businesses, 29 at apartments or condominiums, 49 in retail parking lots and 105, the largest number of vehicle break-ins, took place at residences, while cars were parked in driveways.

I guess they are less crowded, so the thieves can "work" unnoticed. :-(
