Edouard Michelin
, the great-grandson of the tiremaker's founder, and CEO of the company was killed in a boating accident off the coast of western France. Michelin and a friend were aboard the boat, when it sank. "He was brilliant, dynamic and profoundly human," France's Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy said in a statement. "With his death, the French economy tragically loses one of its leading figures."
