There's also PF_Flyer. Lots of Bobs around here. :-)
Even though results are mixed, Lutz is as qualified as anyone for the job.

I buy it...GM needs a car guy in charge. Accountants and lawyers just don't understand that car sales are determined by the excitement generated by the product. All the cost-savings and marketing in the world aren't going to change that.

Here's the deal...I heard Bob when talking about interiors that GM is going to keep raising the bar on interiors. However when the journalist asked if the rear console in the Enclave would see production, Bob said no because it would cost to much money. I at that point realized GM can make the best interiors, but it always seems money get's into the way from executing the best. Bob needs to realize by making the best like Toyota, you can charge the most. This is why Bob doesn't need to run GM, but rather someone like myself who would ask.....do I have the best product in this segment ? If I don't maybe that rear console will help, thus I can have the best product and charge a lil' more= customer perception=more market share. Really how much would a rear console cost when your buying 50 or 60K ?????

rockylee, what you don't understand, is that they need to bring up customer perception before charging more than other brands such as Toyota. Honestly, how many people are going to say, well this vehicle doesn't have the rear console, and even though the rest of the interior is beautifully done, because of the lack of that rear console, I'm not buying the car. If someone like you were running GM, they'd already be out of business, because you would spend money on unnecessary items which would in fact do very little, if anything at all, to raise customer perception.
