Suzuki at the NY auto show

Yesterday I had a chance to get up to the NY show, and see it as a "civilian." Since IL has reported extensively here on the show there's not a whole lot to add other than a few personal observations.

Suzuki, for me was a big surprise, both good and bad. I love the small SX4, but was less enthralled with the new XL7. I'm sure the XL7 will do well for Suzuki...
I'm just disappointed that it's essentially just another vehicle spun off the generic GM Equinox, et al., crossover platform. Sure it's got a Suzuki-blessed engine, and that's good. Frankly, I would have much preferred to see Suzuki build it off the new Grand Vitara platform, as that would have been truly a "Suzuki."

The big surprise for me was an 1100cc, liquid-cooled inline 6-cylinder, 180-horsepower motorcycle they had on display (pictured above). Sort of reminded me of what a modern-day Honda CBX might look like.
