Rumor has it that Ferrari have offered seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher a whopping $86.6 million dollars to stay with Ferrari's Formula 1 team through 2008.
Michael is already the highest paid sportsman on the planet. Well, you can't argue with seven world championships in a sport that has over 580 million television viewers worldwide.

He's crazy if he retires. He's still among the top three drivers. And he is on his way to being the first person to earn a billion dollars from sports. A billion!

Shuey's problem is that he never really had an arch rival that measured up.
Anyone else find it ironic that when Ayrton Senna died, he was in the lead? Michael had to inherit F1 leadership, rather than earn it.
