Does anyone else think the poll might be rigged?
Something about putting the ultra-desireable Porsche Cayenne in the SUV -$45K segment makes me wonder. Loaded up the thing could push $120K... so why put it in a segment like that? If edmunds wants to ensure the car a place on its podium, start another awards list.
Don't get me wrong, I love the Porsche Cayenne and I love Edmunds. But that's not the only instance that makes me put the validity of the poll into question.

I don't know if it's rigged or not, but I definitely thought the same thing several times as I went through it. With vehicles placed in unintuitive classes (a hatch as a coupe, etc.) or grouped in lower / higher priced categories than the model / trims of the cars that usually comes to mind (the Cayenne is a really good example of this- when I think of it I think of the high dollar model with the associated drivetrain..).

They are grouped into categories by base price with no options. Otherwise, with various option packages, they could fit into numerous categories. And no two people are going to agree on how we optioned them. So we stick with the base price.
