Caught during the filming of a commercial, these are the first shots of the 2007 Mercedes Benz E-Class. It doesn't look much different because it isn't. Only minor changes to the front air dam and rear fascia are noticeable. The real upgrades will come under the hood as the E500 will become the E550 with the addition of Mercedes' new 5.5-liter V8. The base E350 will continue as before. Mercedes is hoping to add the E320 Bluetec diesel to the lineup in all 50 states, but final approval has not been secured yet.

I wonder what kind of the engines would be installed under the hood of that 4matic station wagon; my best wish- the 3996 cc CDI.

Why wouldn't they use the 7 speed tranny in conjunction with the e-320 cdi?
