Exactly. I'm a little nervous about Audi coming out with all these SUV's when the market is tending toward an SUV backlash. If I were Audi, I would work on gettiing DSG into all my cars and then maybe think about some hybrid drivetrains.

Q3 would be too small, that one should be sold by VW, not Audi.
But the Q5 is a good idea. The allroad quattro never sold well, in fact its sales numbers are dwarfed by similarly priced SUVs.
Give the Q5 a 2.0T Quattro powertrain (V6 optional), keep a lid on prices, and they'll have a wide audience to capture.

Timing of Q5 is perfect for me as my wife wants a small SUV. I will test drive it only if it has a Torsen center differential and not the cheap VW AWD system that Audi is trying to pass off as a Quattro on the A3.
