If you weren't thinking of Buick before, you are now. Expected to go on sale in 2007 and replace the Rendezvous and Rainier, the 2007 Buick Enclave is a dream for the American garage and makes you just gotta love the USA. What's in store? Six seats in three rows, a sunroof running from front to back and interior trim packs such as wood, leather and enough extras to make you blush.
The Enclave rides on a 119-inch wheelbase which makes it longer than an Acura MDX but shorter than a Mercedes-Benz R-Class. Power comes from a 270-hp, 3.6-liter V6 with dual-overhead camshafts and variable valve timing. A six-speed automatic transmission drives all four wheels.

I've been watching the development of this vehicle almost from the beginning. I know that the GMC Acadia and the Saturn Outlook are built on the same Lambda platform, but I think the Enclave is the best of the bunch. Buick stuck pretty close to the original concept vehicle, and that's a very good thing. I can't wait for these to hit the showrooms, but I'm almost afraid to test-drive one because I know I'll want it in my garage - and at $30K plus, unless I win the lottery or they give one away, it isn't going to happen. Buick's been searching for years for a way to reach the non-AARP buyers - this is it!
