Hundreds of complaints are now being heard from owners about run-flat tires. They wear much faster, and can be twice as expensive to replace than conventional tires. In fact a class action lawsuit has been filled against Toyota, as many Sienna minivans are equipped with this type of tire; and Dunlop, the tire maker. More info here...
Members of the Forums have been discussing Run-flat, self-sealing, PAX tires for Minivans for over a year, so this isn't a big surprise. Owners and prospective buyers of both the Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna have expressed concerns over run-flats
As more and more manufacturers are putting run-flats on vehicles it looks like consumer discontent is growing. Just look at what owners are saying about the high cost for 2006 BMW 3-Series run-flats.

Hopefully the cost comes down as they become more common place. But bad experiences like this could delay that. Ironic, no?
